The milky appearance to field looks troubling to me. Pretty coin nonetheless. If problem-free my guess would be a 62.

OK, but my response was a second opinion about a coin that is no longer available to the OP. Had it been available when I posted, I would have additionally prefaced my comment with, "Pass."

    Q. David Bowers says, on pg 256 in his latest edition of A Guidebook of Morgan Dollars, that 1903-0 dollars are usually well struck and nearly always with brilliance and luster. I admit to being a novice grader, but I'm seeing flat hair over the ear as well as not so sharp leaves. If well struck examples are indeed available, wouldn't you pass on this one? When does strike become a grading issue as far as limiting what a TPG will give. If the hair over the ear and leaves are strike issues, what are the next characteristics to evaluate. Thanks for continuing my education.

My point also. When graded by a TPG it may read "Weak strike MS63". Keeps everybody well informed.
