Sellers beware! Especially in TX, OK and Louisiana. There's a flyer the Usps is delivering to you address from an Auction Company called Antique Pickers Back Road Tour . A full color 12 page ad that they are exclusively sponsored by National Coin Collectors Association whom closed their doors in 1992! I know I have posted this before but can't seem to find it. However another excited neighbor just dropped by with the flyer in hand and I felt obligated to tell this tale again. I took approx. 5 minutes to knock these guys off. Goog. the Tour name and the comments below:. They reside in a UPS store in Houston and take voicemails on a cellular phone. I contacted ANA as this group tried to take ANA down in '92 for owning ANACS. Here is our chat.....

Has this group been resurrected? NCCA I know whom was one of your nemeses in 1990-1992. I am concerned because a buying extravaganza is coming to our little town Calling themselves Antique Pickers Back Roads Tour expressly sponsored by the Nation Coin Collectors Association. What is your take? I have collected Anacs and refer to ANA for factual information for decades now. Plz Advise

Thanks for messaging us. We try to be as responsive as possible. We'll get back to you soon.

    Hi

This is the first time I've heard of Antique Pickers Back Roads Tour so I decided to do a little bit of research.
It looks like there are some mixed reactions to their services. They claim to buy in cash and will buy coins, but I can't be certain that they'll value the coins correctly. The most I can say is, use your best judgement. I suppose if you have questions for them before they come, you can reach out and contact them for answers. This is their website: http://www.antiquepickers.network/antique-pickers-back-roads-tour-newspaper.php#main
I've also found a couple reviews. I attached a photo of the Google reviews that they had and a link to the Yelp reviews they had: https://www.yelp.com/topic/cypress-antique-pickers-back-road-tour-is-a-scam

I don't think it could hurt to go and check it out, but again, use your best judgement. Don't sell with someone you don't trust. If anything, you can go to see what it is, but continue to rely on coin grading services that you know and trust.

here is 1 page of the flyer:

These folks were partially responsible for the failure of ANACS in the early 90"s and the above claim in their flyer indicated Reps. from NCCA will be there to appraise and buy pre-1964 coins. This could be before your time but you might want to pass this message to some old schoolers within ANA for further facts. Thanks for the reply
NCCA opened in 1990 and closed by 1992. A scam for the elderly or possibly an out let for addicted thieves to sell stolen collections without the scrutiny Tx Pawn Brokers have to abide by. Just really has me peaved as I know several who are packing up to go there next week
