Hi everyone I have a question I have a 1945 mercury dime the 5 has a tail like thing coming off the bottom of the 5 and going under the 4 after looking at pictures lots of them they are all normal 5 also I have looked at it under a magnified glass it's not damage any idea of what it is here is a pic it's not the best but gives a idea thanks
Why did you create this thread in the what's it worth forum? We need to see pictures! Could be a small Die Chip.. nothing really major.
Sorry forgot to mention that I was curious as to what it is also if it adds any value not wanting to sell just curious about it will get a pic asap thanks
Oh c'mon, typos happen. Welcome to CoinTalk. Your picture isn't too clear, but it appears to be a die chip where a little bit of the die broke off, giving that line. Interesting, but it doesn't carry any premium that I know.
Thanks for the info just curious more than anything yes was a typo spellchecker stays on and does that often..I just collect old coins not a professional coin dealer so didn't study up on cud marks error coins etc ...but anyway thanks for the help
I’m confused. Is the picture wcoins posted your coin? If not, please post pictures of the coin you have. Otherwise, everything you say about it basically means nothing.
still waiting for some pics.... we want to help you , but with out pics we do not know what you have.
