I posted this coin once and to no reply maybe need more patients. There is definitely doubling but real doubtful it's a doubled die. I was more curious as to how to tell if a coin has been polished. I see this often where a coin will have this luster for its age yet a lot of the detail mainly in the head is missing. Is it a different metal or polished and how to tell. 20180917_210918.jpg

Polished , cleaned or wizzed looks like to much hairline was removed from the 64P also beware of shiny high reliefs spots like on its' date and letters. On the 64-D you can see uniformity in the luster throughout the entire element. Here's some other things to look for
1964 1c Doubled Die Reverse VCR#1/DDR#1, FS#1c-026. Strong Doubling on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA & EPU. This is the nicer mid-die-state (an early mid at that!); the doubling shows much sharper than on the mushy late-die-state specimens typically encountered. Most of these will have some planchet stains typical to the variety.MS61R&B a large print dominates the obverse and 50% of the reverse , MS62 Rev Spots , MS63 RD a small lamination on obverse; some specks. Overall, nice.

1964 1c Doubled Die Obverse shows as a "bar" under L of LIBERTY.

1964 1c Doubled Die Obverse shows as a "bar" under L of LIBERTY and CW on the tops of IN; possibly an earlier stage of the pair offered above

I see Machine Doubling on the D. Doesn't look like a doubled die to me.

Pics not good enough to tell if polished.

you're getting motion blur on the cents.
Go to a well lit area - for your camera, not your eyes.
and retake the photos. There's not enough light and the shutter speed is too slow for you to hold it steady for a clear image.

at the time of your postings, many people in North America are asleep.
