1943 P/P Jefferson nickel double error!

    Going through some old inventory around the house I rediscovered this...
    1943 P/P nickel with lamination error on the obv. And a strike thru retained on the rev. A piece of steel the size of bird shot rusty between the Pluribus & Unum .

    Awesome coin! Weren’t laminations common on war nickels because of the odd metal composition?

    Just about all nickels shields, V , Buffalos,and Jeff's . But yes there were a lot of war time lamination error coins.

    Nice find, I have a good lot that I need to sort through for varieties and errors. Here's my best lamination error War Nickel:
