Let's hope not. It will be another overpriced item.

Is that a Chinese fake coin? Did they mix their numbers up? I think that should be '1921'.

I'm guessing the U.S. Mint will make a 1oz gold bullion 2021 Peace dollar commemorative.

Same as they did in 2016 for the 100th anniversary of the Merc dime & SL quarter & WL half.

And I'd love to see a high-relief DCAM Proof version.

But if the U.S. Mint completely misses the boat, the private sector will step-up.

For starters, Dan Carr (Moonlight Mint) has promised 2021 Peace dollar silver similar to the 1917 fantasy overstrike and the 1917 2oz medal.

It is true that if the US mint does make one it will probably be heavily overpriced, but I wouldn't mind seeing a high-relief DCAM proof version made of silver.

Maybe a multiple coin set? Only time will tell.

Agreed, silver would be great. I'd even buy a clad version.

But I believe it requires an act of Congress to issue a new $1 coin. Just like the recent American Innovation $1 Coin Act.

Of course it's do-able. But we didn't see silver for the 2016 100th anniversary Merc dime, SL quarter, and WL half. So I don't expect a silver 2021 Peace dollar from the Mint.

How about both a Peace & Morgan Dollar set. First and last years of issue. I think that would make for a wonderful set.

Or you could just, you know, buy a 1921 Morgan and Peace and have an actual first and last years of issue.

If it’s a Peace Dollar (gold, silver or whatever), I’m buying!

I never understand why some hate when the Mint makes gold commemoratives. I would much rather see an anniversary edition than politically motivated garbage like breast cancer awareness coins.
