I personally have not seen this type of lamination problem or zinc rot which I know comes in many forms. Has anyone else seen this before? Thanks

I'd put that one away. It looks as if the split plating is not active, I have a few that I have collected over the years, Various dates, they are a fun side to learning how to detect die deterioration.

It's not a lamination. Lams don't occur on zinc cents. What you have there is a case of zinc rot. Interesting looking though.
