Nope. They only made 5.9 Billion. They are not rare.

Better yet, if you are planning to be active on this forum, you might as well be a supporter of cointalk.

Why would you say that, there is no requirement to be a supporter.
Nor does anyone look at a member any different. Where do you come up with this stuff?

Your cent has some definite circulation damage.
The coins that bring good money are conditional rarities.
    Your is pretty common!
There are also die variety's that command a premium.
    Such as DDO's.

In order for a coin to be a worthy candidate for submission, the plastic must add something of value to the coin at least equal to the cost of admission. This can be anything from increased liquidity to independently verified authenticity and anything in between, and this is assuming one is genuinely capable of grading and identifying problems to the individual TPG standards.

The vast majority of perfectly collectible coins, including many already residing in plastic, have absolutely no reason to be there. Contrary to popular belief, TPGs are not the collector's friend but are for-profit businesses perfectly willing to take your money while offering nothing but a plastic holder in return. Submitting coins really is a game. Play wisely and you can win, sometimes big, but play foolishly and you will lose.

Being as you're new I would respectfully suggest first investing in yourself by learning first. Although true in many aspects of life, knowledge is an absolute must for those wishing to succeed in this hobby, and even then there's no guarantees. Welcome to the forum.

They're better than we serfs, Pickin. Becoming a paid supporter allows one to achieve the lofty status of a peasant. Didn't you know? ;)

As if mere serfs do not "support" this forum by participating and contributing knowledge....

I do want to be clear in that it's good you're here asking and trying to learn. While this forum is far, far from perfect, it's vastly superior to YouTube and simply because there's a lot of misinformation spewed on the latter. We regularly see folks coming here from YouTube, often with unrealistic expectations that do more to damage this hobby than benefit it. Please, just be careful about taking anything you see in videos as gospel. While misinformation abounds here as well, the more knowledgeable and caring members are usually sure to counter it.

It makes me wonder "Who" is referred to when he says "Seniors" will show up to help with your question? Does age really matter?
