Not sure if i have a variety here, will have to do some research and see what possibilities there are. I know this a put together set, of sorts, but there are some lookers amongst it 20 dolla holla
$8.75 for the cent and $21.75 for the Washington quarter. I figured that if I were going to own any presidential dollars, it would need to be an error, and also that the “error” 1983 was just too good to pass up. I definitely bought that one for the slab. My guess is someone thought it was a DDO when submitting?
I'm quite pleased to say with coins in hand — the coins under discussion can be seen at post #2595 in this thread, page 130 — that the negative comments by more than one poster are the fault of the photographs and not the coins. There is no evidence of cleaning whatsoever, harsh or otherwise, but oodles of great original luster with just some small bit of coloration that isn't much in evidence in the seller's bleached out photos. I apologize for not posting my own photos, but my skills in photo taking and my equipment leave much to be desired. The seller, BTW, appears to be a novice at selling with just a few listings and even fewer feedbacks. This is just the sort of seller that conventional wisdom says should be avoided, but from my own experience, everyone has to have a start. So glad to have these in my collection.
It did happen the coin is very worn. I cant get pictures right now but here is my proof from the auction I bought it from. https://www.proxibid.com/Coins-Curr...heat-Penny-Cent-Collector-Book-with-132-Coins
Your last two links don't work, but the first one did. This link should work as well. I would never have figured that the coin in the 1914-D slot in that listing would actually be a 1914-D. Apparently, neither did anybody else bidding on the auction. Hope you can get some pictures posted eventually -- if it's legit (not an altered date or pure fake), that's definitely a winning deal!
Have you received it yet? You might wanna stave off rejoicing until you get a good look at it. Of course, not much of a loss at ten bucks.
