    The twopence is also two full ounces of copper, while the penny is only one ounce.

    Problem trying to get a nice example of the one or two pence of 1797 is the copper was soft and the coins were heavy. The edges of coins typically seen tend to suffer from edge dents. Nicer pieces without edge problems tend to get a little pricey

    Large cents were just the right size to make all kinds of small tools and replacement parts.
