It would be helpful if you could get close up photos, but upon inspection it appears to be genuine, but I'm not an expert in Indian Head Pennies. What makes you question the coin? Because it is a key date with only 309,000 produced? I hope others with more expertise will chime in with an opinion.
Counterfeit detection is immensely difficult from a picture. I dont think you can get a straight answer
The color is questionable and probably enhanced, but the coin itself appears to be genuine. I don't see any red flags with the coin itself.
At a glance it looks fine. But we aren't weighing it and examining it with an electron microscope. Perhaps a back story of how this coin was acquired would shed some light.
In that case being such a rare coin, I would want it to be certified as authentic before making payment.
