I know what PCGS gave this one so I won't give an answer, but you people are way low. This die marriage almost always comes weakly struck on lower bust and on the reverse scroll. Look at her hair and the eagle's wings. Actually, the TPGs usually undergrade this marriage as well. This time, IMO, they got it right.
Weird Strike! I like it at EF-40, but I wouldn't be surprised with 45. I think it has too much wear and not enough luster for AU.
I can see that it's a weaker struck issue, but I don't see any luster in the images to warrant an AU or even a XF-45 grade. I see a VF-35 with a chance of it going EF-40. EF-40 is my final answer.
Regardless of what we think it should grade (I’m at net 40-ish) it wouldn’t surprise me to see it slab out at at AU, and without qualifiers. It looks like O-106, of which Overton says: “Left end of the scroll seems always to be weak, with E P usually missing. About half of the specimens observed have UNITED almost entirely blotted out.”
