Hey Everybody, Anyone know what I may have found here? It is a 1961 Penny, it appears to be a proof coin. It weighs 3.147 Grams and is 19.05 MM in Diameter. One things for sure it definitely is not a copper coin. Not sure what to make of it, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I agree with plated Cent. Either classroom science experiment or novelty coin. I like the tweezers with protective tips.
One thing for sure it definitely is a copper coin if it came from the US Mint. I am enjoying the new influx of off metal error coin questions. It's good to know You Tube isn't getting stale.
If you like it, here are some instructions to make as many as you want https://www.sciencecompany.com/Turn-Copper-Pennies-Into-Silver-and-Gold-Pennies.aspx

I like to use chop sticks when I eat Japanese or Chinese food, but not when I handle coins. And, btw, that is not a proof. Just a polished cent.
