I just wanted to share my amusement.. my boyfriend found this last night. ☹ such a sad Lincoln. (Incase you've never seen the Dark Knight, it's a reference to The Joker as played by Heath Ledger.) Terrible image quality, I know. just a quick phone photo. We've actually found some interesting coin errors lately and star notes. I'm waiting for a camera lense to arrive so that I can get good detailed photos before posting them here . We've both become completely obsessed with error currency. I've been having dreams involving coins. In a dream from Friday night, I was walking through a old world town in the rain. as I passed gutters in the pavement, I saw hundreds of old coins and gathered as many as I possibly could. I had another dream in which I was under water, swimming along the ocean floor and it was covered in ancient coins. I know that this post may be inappropriate for this forum.
Welcome to CoinTalk Here is a website to help you determine Mint Errors from non errors http://www.error-ref.com
Thank you. I've already come across this website by reading comments on other posts . It's a very helpful, informative site. I'm enjoying learning the correct terms so that I don't seem dumb when communication with all of you here in the future.
On another note what kind of camera do you have ? it's a great hobby. I used to do weddings and such. Remember error coins are very limited. Damaged coins, on the other hand, are unlimited as an unlimited amount of stuff can happen to them.
Lincoln took a hit in the face, now he's got a grown, what s disgrace. PMD and it's the best I could do on short notice. Do so need help?
