Liberty 1951 Lincoln Cent

    The 'T' in the word 'Liberty' of this 1951 Lincoln Cent I found isn't right. I'd appreciate some thoughts on it. Let me know why you think it is that way so I can learn something.

    The T is damaged, the coin took a hit at some point.

    I thought PMD. But it slid the 'stem' of the 'T' smoothly over to the right. So I thought something else might be in play. I guess not. Thanks.

    Copper can be moved smoothly when it takes a hit. Yes to damage.

    Good rule of thumb on diagnosing PMD: when you can make it, yourself, it probably is.
