Sick Broadstrike on a Zinc Lincoln Cent

    Looks like a die cap because the cupping is so prominent. A total monster. Enjoy!

    Does the label say anything about it being Multi-Struck?

    I see evidence of it being Multi-Struck IMHO
    But I don't think PCGS mentions that terminology.. NGC Does

    I imagine it would have to be multi-struck to have that degree of cupping.

    What amazes me about this particular piece is that there is almost none of the zinc showing on either side despite how huge it is. You might think it was a bronze one at first; same color.

    I like the PCGS label, Broadstruck out of collar. As opposed to what Broadstruck In the collar? Considering the definition of broadstruck is a coin struck with the collar absent, the label is a bit redundent.

    I agree. Unless maybe they are distinguishing that from a "partial" out of collar broadstrike.

    Yes, with that much stretching, I would certainly have expected some serious plating splits.

    And, that bowl is deep! Seriously cool error.
