So I have a penny from the 80s I believe it's rubbing off and turning a silver color which I know is this probably think and it the coloring drug ring off where you can't even read it and it's is thin as a dime can somebody tell me is this worth anything or what is it?

I have a penny that is turning discoloring and the copper is rubbing off which is due the zinc I believe and it's thin and it's discoloring I wanted to know is it worth anything or what the deal is it with it if somebody can help me with this would really appreciate it?

It's a Copper plated Zinc Cent. The date looks like 1989. The copper wore away and the zinc is exposed. Considered damaged.
