Another customer wrapped box from a drive through teller.
Nothing earth shattering through 6 rolls.

 

I knew it was coming. Spreadsheet said it was due and boxes were becoming more inconsistent. 18 Loomis box skunk streak this week. Minimal dip is two weeks, maximum 7 weeks before silver shows up again.

 

I feel your pain Sam. I’m in the middle of a MWR skunk streak that is the equivalent of 7-1/2 boxes. My worst ever, and if not for a single Franklin, it would be 10-1/2 boxes. I am pursuing halves in a reduced manner because of that, and because I am working on our Family Tree after a wonderful trip to Ireland, home of my ancestors on my father’s side.

it is a facts, coin collecters are finding all the silver that is circulated

 

7 wheats with two 40’s Enders including, and one 1943-p war nickel.

 

Was at different branch of credit union than I normally go. Just making routine check deposits, and cash withdrawal, when the teller asked how I wanted the money. I coyly asked what she had to get rid of. She responded that they "have everything." So I asked if they had halfs. I think she thought she was being silly when she offered a full bag they have in the vault. I asked how they have a bag, and she pointed to their coin counting machine.

(I didn't know they had the machines. It isn't accessible to patrons.)

Anyway, she was shocked when I said I'd take the whole bag. And I bought it out.

Found:
33 x 40% (including 2x 1976 silver proofs)
8 x 90 % (including 2x Franklins)
4 x nifc proofs
8 x nifc

Also, $8.30 in regular US coins and C$10

It also had a $42 under-count, which puzzles me b/c these machines are usually spot-on. Ah well, the silver, other US coins, and foreign made up for it.

Now to deposit it all tomorrow.

 

I picked up $90 in CWR halves from 3 different banks tonight...nada.

I also picked up my weekly two boxes of Loomis halves. I’m halfway through the first, and it’s bad and good.

The bad:
8 of the MWRs were rewraps. 2 of them were Loomis, and the other 6 were from the other no-name courier in town, yuck

The good:
1, ‘87S
1, 68D
1, 70S in pristine condition (my first 70S, woohoo!!!)

Searched the 50/50 CWR/BWR box of halves I got and finished off a half box of quarters.

Halves;
'82 P no "FG" my second ever and it has a small CUD
'99 P rotated 5-10*
'73 D struck through or PMD not sure as there is no distortion on the reverse?

Quarters;
'41 D My first silver ever CRH .25c!
'17 P MAD
'09 D AT Peurto Rico along with 1/2 dozen other misc quarters someone was damaging.

Its been a long week, So only one post this week, I just finished up the last of 12 boxes for the week. 10 of those boxes were skunks. I pulled 15 pieces of silver 3-90%er and 12-40%ers. I pulled 1-45 Walker, 1-54D Bennie, 1-64D Kennedy, 2-65, 1-66,1-67, 5-68, and 3-69's. Also pulled 1 87D. So I had a nice week. Congrats to everyone else who pulled silver this week. Haven't posted in a while but I've had some pretty interesting scores recently, none better than today. I went into a bank last weekend asking for large dollar coins, and was told to come back Thursday (today) because another teller had a few. I went back today right before the branch closed and was able to speak to that teller. She had these, but told me she wanted to keep them and do more research on them. After seeing I was a collector and very interested (I even told her to keep them if she so desired), she sold them to me. I don't even have an account at the bank, so we had to keep the exchange under $20. This is my first time ever getting one (not to mention 5) of these from a bank for face value.

Sam, you found a seated liberty half CRHing? That's pretty amazing. I'd love to see a picture of that. I'm sure you posted it, but when?

 

Second half of my first box of halves for this week was a bust. I opened the second box and there is 1, 40% ender. I'll try and make time to search the box and report here before I leave for a week-long vacation tomorrow.
