If you purchase a coin graded buy SNGA you have 30 days to return it to the dealer from who it was purchased for a full refund. Taken directly --- FROM http://cgi.ebay.com/SNGA-COIN-GRADI...ageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p1638.m118 DESCRIPTION SNGA NOW GUARANTEES THEIR GRADE AS ACCURATE WITHIN 1 POINT OR THEY'LL BUY YOUR COIN! SNGA AUTHORIZED DEALER No where does it state on sngrading.com the claim of "accurate within 1 point". And that begs the question "Within 1 point of WHO? NCG, PCGS, ANACS, ICG or SGS!" I really like the sngrading.com guarantee! They don't guarentee anything! It falls back on the dealer from whom you purchased the "PREPAID CERTIFICATE"! RIGHT! We've all read the e-bay sellers disclaimers! Here's the one from the same auction.. (acutally both blue-creek-coins and trademark-jewelry-n-coins) OUR RETURN POLICY 1) All submission forms bought are non-refundable. 2) Pre-Paid Submission Certificates expire after 3 months. Please ask any question you may have prior to bidding. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN ON PREPAID CERTIFICATES Now this flys in the face of the SNGA guarantee!!! Now for ms-lucys-so-mercantile I DON'T OFFER NO REFUNDS ON A SINGLE THING I SELL! Now who in their right mind would even think of purchasing a Prepaid Certificate? NOW for coins being sold by blue-creek-coins... Here's their return policy in the middle of the description OUR RETURN POLICY 1) You may return an item for any reason, subject to the conditions below. 2) Any coin or currency item removed from its original holder is not returnable for refund - FOR ANY REASON. 3) SNGA graded coins may be returned for up to 30 days after the auction ends. Please ask any question you may have prior to bidding, because ... We charge a flat 15% RESTOCKING FEE ON ALL RETURNS No matter what reason you have for returning an item, except when the item received is not as described. We do not refund S/H fees or insurance fees on any return. THESE ARE CORPORATE RULES. OUR EMPLOYEES ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO ALTER THEM! Your Bid On Our Auction Makes This A Binding Contract & Signifies Your Agreement To Our Terms! MORE RETURN FINE PRINT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE AUCTION... Return policy details: Any coin, or currency, that is removed from it's original holder is not returnable - FOR ANY REASON. You may return a coin or note within 10 days from the end of the auction with no reason needed. The coin/note must be in our possession by the 10th day following the end of the auction or there will be NO REFUND. NOW take a look at the top of the auction on the right side under "Buy Safely" you will note the following Returns: Seller accepts returns. 7 Days Merchandise Credit OK, what is the real return policy??? I'd never buy anything from SNGA or any of their AUTHORIZED DEALERS with all of this gooble-de-gook!
Big Bill, You are really reaching here. If this "guarantee" were true I'd buy coins from them cheap, hope for a properly graded coin (that I could reslab or sell at a profit) and return the rest. IF I buy a coin from PCGS, NGC, ANACS they don't offer this "guarantee". Now think about this, I mean REALLY think about it. If this were the case with SNGS they would trust MY GRADING more than their own. Now why would I waste my time having them slab a coin if they think I can do better? Perhaps they should send ME coins to slab. Probably wouldn't get the grades they want though.
Big Bill, You're definately entitled to your opinion, HOWEVER, that restocking note is a EXTREMELY prominent note within both Blue-Creek-Coins and trademark-jewelry-n-coins auction listings. I for one wouldn't want to have to test it. Tell me you are an employee of Blue-Creek-Coins and I'll remind you of the prominent e-bay disclamer to their auctions... THESE ARE CORPORATE RULES. OUR EMPLOYEES ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO ALTER THEM! I am surprized that you can make such statements with someone else's auctions unless they are your's! The gooble-de-gook disclaimers are there in both auctions and I for one would hope everyone that reads them fully understands their FULL implications. These are the SELLER's disclaimers and rules, not SNGA's! I would believe that "AUTHORIZED DEALERS" is in reference to the "PREPAID GRADING CERTIFICATES" and NOT coins that have been graded. Why doesn't SNGS state on their website that they will accept such returns themselves instead of attempting to place the burden on the "AUTHORIZED DEALERS". After all the "AUTHORIZED DEALERS" should NOT be responsible for SNGA grading. And SNGA must have given their "AUTHORIZED DEALERS" some sort of discount rate for the PREPAID CERTIFICATES or why would they sell them? Furthermore if the AUTHORIZED DEALERS receive the certificates at a discounted rate then why should they be responsible for a FULL REFUND of the certificate price? DUH! Pretty poor businessmanship to accept that deal! This whole PREPAID CERTIFICATE scheme appears to be some sort of strange dealings. UNLESS SNGA IS THE REAL OWNERS OF THEIR E-BAY COUNTERPARTS. I do find the following regarding coins from the SNGA website... If you purchase a coin graded buy SNGA you have 30 days to return it to the dealer from who it was purchased for a full refund. Currently, only blue-creek-coins is selling SNGA graded coins on e-Bay... There's none listed on their website. And you out of luck if you don't understand who their dealers are! NO RETURNS FROM OTHERS! blue-creek-coins may just hold any e-Bay buyer liable for the 15% restocking fee since it is stipulated in their auction. Again this begs the question are you associated with blue-creek-coins?
Ever since I signed on to this site and offerred my opinion I've felt like I've step in a red ant's nest and every one is attacking me. All I'm saying is my exerience with Blue Creek Coins and SNGA have been positive so far. Nothing more. I know that each of you will taalk about me, but I don't want to say any more. May I'm too trusting, but I have never had a bit of trouble from Blue Coins, even when I returned an item to them once. They gave me a full refund and the coin was just as they had described it. But you have your minds made up, so I'm finished talking in this chat room.:smile
Yeah, you stepped in red ants for sure, but stick around. Just change the subject, were all pretty good guys, just with a low tolerance for Ebay crooks and self slabbers. I'm sure you'll fit in fine !! With the experiences you have had with Blue..., you may want to learn all you can, it may save you huge $$$$
You kind of have stepped into a red ants nest. Self slabbing is looked down upon by some people, especially when the "company" sells there own coins they've slabbed. Myself and others have yet to find a coin whose grade we agree with with them. And I don't think everyones attacking you man. We are trying to help. I know the way it is offered can be taken wrongly at times (has happened to me, so I can see from your point of view), but when it comes down to it, we are just trying to help you man, and maybe save you a little money too. What I might suggest is buy a book on the ANA grading standards or something, and then compare them to some of the coins graded by SNGA. Might be surprised with the results. And I hope you do stick around, maybe just post about a few other things, maybe show off some of your coins, or ask some questions. Whatever you choose to do, I hope to see ya around some more. :thumb: Phoenix
Mr. Bill: Just because we don't agree with you is no reason to leave. Heck, as you may note, we rarely agree about ANYTHING! (Especially when it comes to grading, cleaned coins, toning, or just about any topic) there will ALWAYS be someone to disagree with you. As far as the seller mentioned, if you are happy with them, so be it. I wish you luck.
