Couple penny questions, 1982 small date? 1983 inverted mint mark?

First one, the one on the right has an indented D mint Mark. I don’t think it’s a huge deal from what I read so far, but wanted to post it anyway.


Second one, I’m being driven nearly mad by this small date/large date stuff. The one on the left is small date, right? I’m almost certain it’s zinc, I did the stick test but have a scale coming in the mail.

I don’t know what that spotting is, not sure if coin damage or just something that will clean off.

Based on you pic your 83 appears to be zinc rot the 82 looks like a small date here a pic for comparison.
