I believe this is a small date correct? I used bottom pic for comparison! IMG_20180904_120534295_HDR.jpg IMG_20180904_120545663_HDR.jpg IMG_20180904_120641449_HDR.jpg IMG_20180904_120806482_HDR.jpg

At first I thought the tails on the 6 and 9 were stubby enough.
And then I thought they were large but some kind of "tweener".
But the next marker (for me) after the long or short tails on the 6 and 9,
is that the small date is a little more closed off. The curl on the number 6 and 9 is a little tighter and on these coins, they are open.
On the other small dates (1970-S and 1982) I believe, it's just the name of the variety, and the date itself is not smaller.
But on the 1960 I believe the small date is physically smaller than the large date.

    Fail.
Hard to get good comparison photos with this variety.

What makes it so tough for me in those pics is the fact that they take the large date pic straight on and the small date pic slightly to the South I'm going to call it! @Dave363 @Michael K

I have that same photo. And it's just not a great comparison.

Thanks @Michael K ! @furryfrog02 photo really helps a lot. I didn't realize how closed the 6 and 9 . Also VERY short, not the subtle difference it's said to be!

I used that photo because it is a clearer example of a 1960-P small date,
than the ones I have found on the net.
It's like a textbook example. The best I have seen.
