    Hi All
I have a few coins I love but don’t want to get graded, but would like to do a little more than the cardboard 2x2. I see there are plastic snap 2x2s - but are any better than others? Would hate to put a coin in there to find out later that Brand X cases are notorious for scratching coins, etc. thanks!

From everything that I know there doesn’t seem to be any brand with a bad reputation, so I would feel ok buying the cheapest available

If you’re willing a spend a little more, Capital Plastics offers a nice selection of 2x2’s.

Wizard coin supplies has just about everything one would want or need for this hobby.
I use their slabs on my half dimes that I know won't grade... they sell 2 types one like pcgs slabs the other like ngc.
And again lots of other options to choose.

Since you're not asking specifically about the hard plastic versions, it's worth mentioning that you'd be wise to stay away from any holders containing PVC.

    Considering the bottle
Of acetone I had had to go through, that goes unsaid. :)

For coins that you want to display that are a bit nicer than you want to put in a 2x2, I recommend something that looks like a slab, but isn't quite a slab. They make nice tripods so that you can put them on a shelf, and make an attractive display. You can also print TPG-style labels with information about the coin to go at the top. I have used both of these brands before, and recommend them:
