How could this 1943 D LWC for sell 23K? What a fool

Because it says it is silver, heck would the seller be wrong?

 

Those normally sell in AU for about $5,000. The buyer is a fool but can't blame the seller.

Could you possibly tell us where the $5,000. sales price came from. I have some I'd like to post on that site.

I thought you meant the 1943 Steel Cent went for that much

 

Well, the header on the image posted did say "silver" 1943 steel cent. I honestly thought I was on task here. But now I see where I should have been more clear.

 

You do know it is not "silver"..

Right. I know the one in the image isn't and is just zinc-coated steel.
