Hello, I'm new to coin collecting and I have a lot to learn. I just added this 1982 D? quarter and 1987 penny to my collect. Both coins look funny to me, and it's hard to tell if these are error coins or just bad upkeep. What do you guys think?
Welcome to CT!! Not sure what you mean by "look funny". Both coins appear to have Misaligned Die errors or MAD for short. This happens when one die is slightly off center. This is why the rim on the obverses look fatter on one side than the other. This is very common and does not command a premium unless some of the devices (lettering, numbers etc.) are missing. Like already stated both coins are worth face value.
