stange penny 1920 s

    I bought several penny coin books and this 1920 penny stood out. Under magnification the copper is never broken or shows any damage Got some nice pennies but mast have finger prints from being placed and pushed into the folders. Special were two worn 1909 vdb's. This image can be expanded to more clearly show the indents. How would this happen in the mint process? Thanks for looking.

    Looks like PMD - Post Mint Damage
    It was struck with a small blunt metal object.

    I'll have my wife take front and back pic's when she gets home. I did place a cooper bb on it and it is definitely two large. Yikes she will be mad at my purchase!

    Just damage because it's heavily circulated.

    What did you purchase? Was it this cent? You must have had a reason to purchase it, what did you think it is? How much did you pay?
