I actually thought it was an eight at first.. then I put it under the scope and almost freaked out lol

Yeah but it didn't coat the edges so it would be rusted. I have steel ones and they look so much different then this
Save yourself $50+. Google a pic of a 1943 steel cent and compare the 3 to the one one your coin. It will be obvious that yours is fake.
Welcome to CT!! The date is either altered or took a hit in a convenient place imho. I also think it is a 1946. Either way it is not worth getting graded.
