It's considered an error but nothing really major.. I would pay $1.00 - $2.00 It's a combination Misaligned Die Strike with excessive pressure which caused it to rise up a bit.
Thank you! I'm learning a lot. I've collected a few coins here and there since I was a child but just because I liked those specific coins for my own reasons. I recently became more interested in the error coins because it's kind of entertaining searching for a needle in a hay stack.
Okay, cool. I was sure it was nothing major since I always research coin errors and read into several links. I just thought that it was a nice find for myself because it's such an obvious flaw. I'll probably sell it if you actually want it.
Thank you for welcoming me. I've been reading forums here for awhile and finally decided to join so that I can learn more.
I did the same thing I watched Cointalk for about 2 month's before I joined to see who knew the most and who was willing to help. I did check out other coin forms but to be honest after watching what went on here and others I joined here so much knowledge here. So just be opened minded and have a little bit of thick skin and you will do fine here. IMO Dave
I first like the way the rim changes at 12 o/clock. Maybe not worth more the acouple of dollars. I've been interested if coins for many years. If i had that coin it would be my first. Keep and put in a safe place. You sound like a nice addition to cointalk. Welcome
Thank you! I think I'll keep it and put it in a safe place like you said. It's a really neat coin, I haven't found another one like it yet.
