Coin roll hunting. I want to grade it, get it certified and sell it. This is in amazing condition. I also have several ,50"s -60" 70 and 80"s all in high Mint state condition mostly red. What do you think this 1926 would bring at auction and who should I take it to. Thanks in advance Ray edited , no phone # for privacy
Let try and upload some better images. For a second there with your response type I thought I was on the coin community site. I came to this to learn from the experience coin collectors. Three things I will say with the highest level of respect: 1. Im new to coins Life short as is. 2. I learned nothing from your response.3. if you are not an a experienced collector please don't comment my posts. And if you are experienced please illustrate those qualities. What comes with experience is the ability teach.
Well... This started well! Ray, first off you need to take your phone number off your post. Believe me, you do not want it there..... Now on to all things numismatic. Ray, @CoinCorgi is quite the experienced collector. He is not pulling your leash or barking up your tree (I crack myself up).... Wheat cents are a cool find however they are plentiful. Yes you have about a two dollar coin there.
Ray, I removed your phone # for your privacy. The 1926 cent is rare to see in change, but is quite common. Grading expense would be many times more than value of maybe .15-20 cents as it is quite circulated. Use it as a beginning of a collection. Teaching-Learning is not just one way and the puppy may be somewhat insolent, but it goes both ways. Corgi is well educated and I think very generous in his answer. Stay a while and read and learn...and please read the rules of the forum. Thanks Jim
Please don't send that in to be graded. It is not worth it. I would not pay more than $1 for that coin and I think that even $1 is high. 1959-1980s cents that are red are not worth much. If they are Wheaties and depending on the dates/mmintmarks, they could be worth something.
By the images you put on here both obverse and reverse both have pits, wheat's seem to be worn smooth at the tips and Lincolns face is worn smooth for the most part with very little features. Post better pictures and see if that helps.
