Yes, but I would not get it for the photos, only for the articles!

Hope you'll be with us all together for the next 5 years, at least. I wanted to light 5 candles on this thread. No way.. So I chose hastily to scan this ancient blue Phoenician, no matter what it is. Happy coin birthday. Blue 600 001.jpg

I may not post as much anymore or buy nearly as many coins (or nearly any) but I still read almost everything and always look forward to your posts.

Hopefully 5 years is just the beginning and there are many more to come!

@TIF , it is hard to express enough appreciation for your contributions. I am glad you are here and enliven our threads so often.

Because of your post, I wondered how long I have been on CT. I searched for my old contributions, and with repeated clicking on "Find older messages" got back to Feb. 6, 2013. I was introduced to CT by @dougsmit , a friend from well before that date. So (without great loss) I missed my 5th anniversary.

Congratulations, TIF, for 5 years!! I was here a year and a few odd months when you arrived here. I was active at that time as well. I ended up becoming active on Facebook. I've been here for 5 years since January 29th, 2013. Like Valentinian, I was curious about my join date as well. I was with the original team that migrated here from CCF. Bing invited me here.

Hey Gil! Long time no see :)

    Yeah, about that...

I had jumped from US to ancient coins early in 2013 and was starting to have a lot of fun on CoinCommunity, then everyone seemed to disappear-- you, @Bing, @chrsmat71, @Ancientnoob, stevex6, and probably others. I stumbled upon CoinTalk and saw Chris and Noob posting here. Aha!!

Thanks for inviting me to come along, guys.:p:D

I was still the new kid on the block though, not part of "the gang", so I guess that's understandable. I forced my way in to the CoinClub soon therafter :D

And we are the better for it. Yeah, I suppose that was over 5years ago. My how time flies especially when one gets older. As Kermit might say:

Yeah, I left the last time because I got into a rather nasty argument here for someone hijacking my post and diverting attention to their thread. Said person vehemently denied doing it and then started ignoring me. lol

It sucked really bad for sure. I wouldn't say I'm back though, but I'd like to be. Once this person is man enough to talk face to face, it could improve.

Sometimes I just take off when I have problems and that's what I did the last time. Usually when people are unwilling to talk.

Thanks TIF, you probably didn't want to hear all that but that is why I haven't been here. Sort of like being completely dissatisfied. lol

I became a administrator of a Facebook group instead and I'm working on a host of my own projects, which include by group, website, Forum gallery and my Tantalus grids.

Oh, THANK YOU! Trying to recall that vaguely familiar video was driving me nuts! (Made me laugh, too)

I hope you decide to stay. You've been missed. Just a word of advice from an old man. Don't let others dictate to you, and don't wait for an apology. Most times they never come or are never heartfelt.

(I can't stay long right now. It's 1715 and I'm waiting to hear Parliament debate the impeachment of Henry St John, Viscount Bolingbroke for treason. Allegedly, Lord Bolingbroke plotted with the Jacobites and the French against the new Hanoverian King George I.* )

    g.

*If Bolingbroke fails to appear for trial, he will be issued a bill of attainder, losing his properties, titles, and possibly his life. (Spoiler alert: Lord Bolingbroke leaves Britain before he is convicted by Parliament. Ten years later, he eventually receives a pardon and returns to Britain. Bolingbroke must agree, however, never to serve in Parliament again. Nevertheless, he will remain a harsh critic of the Walpole government.)
