GTG 72' Lincoln cent

    Similar -002 -Nah, not enough spread. I found this in a bank box:

    Well here it is, I think the coin is actually an AU that someone gave a bump into the MS ranks. That Verdigris bothered me below the bust and in between the 9 and 7 of the date. Thought a dip in acetone would help but it didn't. IMG_0002.JPG

    Whoa....they must have been smoking the good stuff at lunch. The wear on the steps, the cornice, etc. is quite obvious.

    THIS is an MS-62, compare the reverse to your coin:

    I am gonna look at this coin again. I think that the photos could be better. I bought it as an AU, an not sure if I even paid 15$ for it. I thought it was a good example of a die stage A.
