Well here it is, I think the coin is actually an AU that someone gave a bump into the MS ranks. That Verdigris bothered me below the bust and in between the 9 and 7 of the date. Thought a dip in acetone would help but it didn't.
Whoa....they must have been smoking the good stuff at lunch. The wear on the steps, the cornice, etc. is quite obvious. THIS is an MS-62, compare the reverse to your coin: https://coins.ha.com/itm/lincoln-ce...edia-wsl/a/1204-8510.s?hdnJumpToLot=1&x=0&y=0 Compare it to an AU example, the AU is much sharper too: https://coins.ha.com/itm/lincoln-ce...tage-/a/131410-29056.s?hdnJumpToLot=1&x=0&y=0
I am gonna look at this coin again. I think that the photos could be better. I bought it as an AU, an not sure if I even paid 15$ for it. I thought it was a good example of a die stage A. This is the first set of photos.
