You need to explain/point out what you see different. I really don't see anything out of the ordinary except circulation wear and tear. Edit*.. Maybe a small Die Chip on the Bisons nose? Nothing major. No big premium for it.
The bison head looks to have a deformity (possibly poor lighting/digital artifact) and there appears to be what resemble die chips in the same area. What do you think? Or am I seeing things again? Lol
Sorry about the poor photography. Yes I believe it has a die chip in the right side of the snout and also around Washingtons eye.
I missed the bridge of Washington's nose. I can't tell what that is though. Could be another chip or possibly damage. There is a rather long damage mark that seems to correspond with the mark on the bridge of his nose.
Trying to get pictures with a little better definition. On Washington's nose I'm not sure if that is damaged. And he also has a cud on lower eyelid and right under the nose?
But if the metal gets pushed from one side there should be an indention where the metal was pushed from and I don't believe that I see that. All I see is Extra metal? Once again I am newer to this and I am just trying to learn more.
I'm not seeing it in the photo. I do see a little damage. You could have a small die chip in the area in question. Again, that's nice to find and have but no extra value.
Definitely a die chip on the bison's head. Nice one too, I would keep it for sure. The nose and eye on the obverse looks to me like a hit from another coins' edge reeding.
Thank you very much for your reply. The marks on the obverse side I am referring to is on the bottom eyelid and right underneath the nose. I do believe the mark on the bridge of the nose is just post mint damage. But the one on the eyelid and under the nose are actually raised bumps.
I took another look and I believe the bump under the eye lid is from a die chip. I see what you are seeing under the nose but I believe that to be damage. The outline from the upper lip to the base of the nose is not complete as compared to the coins background.
Thank you for taking a little more time to examine what I was seeing. I appreciate the feedback and I will work on taking photographs with more definition and better light. Lol
