1943 D/D ? Please help

    If this coin was reprocessed, that could be why it looks like that.

    When asking if it is DDO don't use D/D
    D/D refers to D over D Mint Mark.. you will confuse others.

    Check the edge , if it was not replated the steel core would have different color than the surfaces.

    I do not believe it is a RPM due to the too large size of the suspect. It goes from the back of the strong impression D, to way in front of the the original. An RPM should at most be the same size as same punch, but often appears smaller due to the angle of the faulty punch. Jim

    Its an obvious replate. Not an rpm not a doubled die. Just a damaged coin
