huh? (a) calibrate your scale. Show both coins (b) front, (c)back, (d) edge, and (e) on the scale showing it's weight. but it's not. you can always send it in for grading to prove us wrong.
Then help us help you. No one wishes you harm here, but it is a two-way street and you're going to get a LOT more from your time here by working with us as opposed to against. There's an awful lot of crap spewed here every day and is why folks are highly skeptical.
I'm not one to call out new members, but you have come to this site asking about 2 huge errors in the LMC world. This one and a 1992 CAM. These are huge errors and you are not providing enough evidence to confirm either. We see this every day and none pan out. Please prove this by posting a photo of your 1983D, obverse up, on a digital scale. Show us it read 3.1 grams.
