Not entirely sure that a 1914-D better photos are needed.

Did you buy them because you wanted them, or because you thought it was a good deal?

I wanted them and I looked around several coin shops in my area, and the were wanting $250 for a 1914-d on fine condition. So I found these and picked them up.

Then, good deal. I hate to see people buying things that they hope are a good deal, then need affirmation on CT. It is a welcome change when it is something they want, regardless if the CT Nation likes it/them or not.

I'm not against cheap fillers, but the condition is not worth the price.

 

I would have passed on the deal. Go to a coin show and take a look around. Ask the dealers there what to expect. I know I saw one in better shape than what you posted at the Whitman show in Baltimore and at a better price as well! It's just one of those things. How bad do you want it and how fast do you want it!
