Look at this horrible wheat roll with a teaser end! I mean 3 cent pieces weren't even minted when wheaties were minted!
Sellers like this should be tarred and feathered... or whatever the modern-day equivalent is... have their Instagram/Facebook account blocked? ;-)
Why? How is their mode of fishing for suckers any different than any other advertiser's "Ours is the best of X." As long as there are guppies who are so busy trying to score that they believe this tripe there are going to be sharks eating them alive.
So how is this any more "immoral" than a buyer who is trying to rip off the seller of any additional 50 dollar+ coins which might be inside the roll? Sauce for the goose; sauce for the gander. As for Ebay, it's not their job to protect bidiots from themselves.
It's like saying that 1st degree murder is wrong but 2nd degree murder is okay, or at least as they try to hide the fact that they killed somebody. eBay has rules about copyright infringements and selling counterfeits. I can't imagine that this shouldn't fall under at least one of their "rules" which they selectively choose to enforce.
Yep, it was. Sad thing is it now has 7 bids at $8.50. Here's the link if you guys want to see the actual listing to the this horrid thing on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Unsearched...N18/352433559127?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144
Also I just realized the three cent piece is smaller than the hole on the end, so it must have been taken out of the bank very VERY carefully. For all the new collectors out there, NEVER buy these crap rolls (and if you want to, ask the people on CoinTalk if you should really waste your time and money on these fakes.)
Somebody is bound to buy it because they've already bid on it. Also, how is he going to ship that thing without it falling out?
Yes, Ebay has rules about copyright infringement and selling counterfeits. Both of these actions are illegal. This auction however, isn't--nor should it be. It isn't the government's job to protect bidiots from themselves, either.
