Any thoughts on these odd mint marks low s on the 73 strange image on left of 53

    During those years the Mint Marks were hand punched into the Obverse Die. So they could be found in different locations. That's normal.

    Also.. Circulation wear can affect the appearance of the Mint Mark.

    The "strange image" appears to be a stain.

    thanks i will have to get a better photo of the d on the 53 because it looks like there is an extra strike
