    Hello all,

I'm new to coin collecting world and have been going through my change. I came across a 1993 Lincoln penny in search of the wide AM but instead I believe I found possible doubled die on the L & I in LIBERTY, GOD, and the RUS in "Trust". Also the "I" looks as if it didnt stamp at all and the N looks as if its partially stamped for the "IN". Could someone let me know if what I'm looking at is a possible mint error. The penny looks to be in pretty good shape to me. (Please forgive me for any incorrect coin lingo, first time) Screenshot_20180822-143626_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20180822-143631_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20180822-143626_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20180822-143631_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20180822-143626_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20180822-143631_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20180822-143626_Gallery.jpg

Classic Worn Die Strike on a Copper Plated Cent.
It is DDD - Die Deterioration Doubling
    Not a Doubled Die

I no your new to Cointalk if I understood the OP question she thought she might have a Doubled Die she doesn't, her coin is DDD worthless doubling no extra value.

Just for your information she might take your statement as if she had something of value.JMO

Really, if coin collecting is becoming an interest of yours I’d suggest buying the Red Book and reading through it to see if one or two particular issues interest you. Then read up as much more as you can on those, then start collecting as you learn.

Trust me, you will find it more rewarding than shuffling through pocket change looking for doubled dies.

    Welcome to CT!
