1941 Nickel

    So I found this 1941 nickel. Can u tell me if it looks like it's melted or an error.

    I found the attached 41 nickel as well. Its similar but has a star on the reverse. Anyone know what it might be? Not a collector, just curious. Thanks!

    Hello.
    What you have is a Counterstamp in the shape of a star that was applied to the surface. It was done deliberately after it left the US Mint. Why? Only the person that did it would know.
    It is not an error or rare Nickel.
    Does look interesting though. Thanks for sharing.
