Picked up two coins today at the Baltimore show...an 1828 CBH I believe to be Au. for sure....haven't done the attribution yet....feel free to give it a shot grade as well the attribution.
How would a grading company grade this one ? It looks like there's a old cleaning that been done on it ?
Very nice and I would love to see these classic masterpieces return to our coinage. Everything is there that is needed and uncrowded.
It looks nice but the obverse was messed with. Maybe brushed. The face and left field, don't look right.
Something is odd with the surfaces on this coin. I'm having a hard time pinning down exactly what, but I don't think this coin will straight grade.
NIce photos. Like others, the surface don't look normal to me, sort of porous, esp on the obv. details, I think around xf40.
