Familiar, huh? I still cannot get enough of that one So I can see a die so overworked and polished that it eliminates the detail of the coin. Would an old cleaning that has had years to heal not present itself in a similar way?
Ear. O ii One. Feathers look ok. But. Liberty worn. F15. Is that die crack worth anything. Guessing over used die
No offense intended, but this grade is extremely inaccurate IMO. From those pics I would grade is EF-45 Details, cleaned. Looking forward to your in hand pics @C-B-D .
Your two sets of photos almost seem to show two completely different coins. The first pic I was thinking it was a polished bright pink cent - now I think it is quite attractive and accurately graded. I've no idea what the variety means in terms of rarity or value, but congrats on a sweet pickup!
I was counting on my opinion that the seller's photos were with a flash against a dark background. I was right!
I could see the luster in the pictures, so I knew it was AU. I just was not sure about the color. But I’ve seen original surfaces come from worse pictures.
I don't see a neck. Oh. Scratch in ear. I get it. That might be a crazy collector coin. There out there
