I just found this1943 D Copper wheat cent on ebay do you think it is real or fake?? I think it is fake.

Ask yourself, why is it not in a slab?

 

@rickmp beat me to it. With the slab craziness that exists today, why would a coin worth five figures not be in a slab?

Again, ask yourself why a 5 figure coin is not in a slab.

 

I wouldent even trust it if was in a slab unless it was on the pcgs or ngc website.

 

What's even more amazing is that there are 78 bids on the 44.

Someone would have to be really stupid to bid on this. Only a picture of the back, which means it's probably a '43, and no returns with a starting bid of $500. As BooksB4Coins said, "A fool and his money..."

We would probably be amazed at how many people do not read the details in an offering. But even a fantasy piece starting at $500.00?
