i heard a rumour that the 06 mint set had very low production numbers. anyone else hear this. think we should buy a few and put away like the 04 set???
Personally, my feelings on the mint set is that it only has a relatively low production number. Yes it's lower than other years, but there is still a ton of them out there. I just read in coin world (I think) a couple of weeks ago, that mint and proof set prices tend to be high for the first 10 or so years after they are released, and then they stabilize to a more normal price. They listed some examples where the price was high the year or two after it came out, then dropped to the issue price after 10 years. That does not help much.... I will look for the article.
