Quater Error Question

    Found this 1990 quarter while going through some change. I have never seen a quarter like this and was wondering what type of error is it and the value of the quarter.

    looks like buffing wheel damage to me.
    You can see metal being pushed one direction on each side.

    Either that or acid.

    Could be, but Acid would be consistent in it's damage.
    If you look at the arrows you can see the lower side has no real damage other than wear, but the top side the metal is pushed away from the arrows. You can also see this in the feathers (and all over the coin on both sides). All one direction pushed metal.

    Acid could do that if it was a flowing solution so the damage would show a definite direction to the damage, as this does on both sides and in the same direction.
