1956 d Lincoln is these lamination or struck thru?

    Welcome to CT!
    It might seem like a lamination, but I'm thinking struck through debris are much likely. Well, it just my opinion, wait for others. Very nice find. I really like it.

    Agree with first comment as well as a lot of pmd post mint damage.

    That's a really cool lamination. Cool find.
    No to a shattered die.
    And not struck through debris.
    The areas that look like PMD are actually where the lamination became separated from the planchet.

    There is something going on there. It looks like a monster lamination. But wait for some expert opinions. Planchet flaw, struck through, PMD.
    I like it.

    thanks for your comments and I agree with all that said Lamination. I don't see any indication of PMD as one had suggested.
