Two middle bronzes of Faustina II, each with a very similar portrait and identical legends, but with reverses bearing devices that are mirror images of each other. If you have other such pairs, I'd love to see them, but don't let this limit you. Post anything you feel is relevant! Faustina II, AD 147-176. Roman Æ dupondius or as, 10.80 g, 24.7 mm, 11 h. I have a minimus coin like your first one here, Doug, but I think it is imitative. What is the module on the one you show here?

That's an Emesa version.... like mine:- There are also Alexandrian for Domna with Fides. Here is a normal leftie. As far as I am aware the righties are very elusive (mine is possibly the only known for Septimius and I know of a reverse die match in Vienna for Domna) .... my search will likely continue for some years...
Roman Collector's coin is Syrian (Emesa) and shows a different plate of fruit from the Alexandria coins. Alexandria Emesa I have not seen any Domna reverse figure face right except for the Venus from rear coins. The vast majority of Septimius Emesa reverses are also left facing. There are a few that face both ways but the right and left versions are very different designs besides the direction. For example, below are two Virtus figures with different attributes. For the record, I do not understand the abandoning the RIC ID of the figure Bonus Eventus in favor of Fides. There are Fides coins of Septimius with figure nothing like these. Who started that one?
