I have amassed a decent group of US Coinage for the Grandkids and I think that that V Nickels are my favorite. I have had 3 I thought uncirculated and sent them in. 2 came back Ms and one AU58. I was fairly pleased I was also able to obtain a first year hologram walking liberty 1 ounce silver coin at issue. Not alot of value but a cool piece.
My avatar is one and St. Gaudins $20 is another. I'll never own one, but Barber's Amazonian sitting liberty petting an eagle pattern. J-1200 for example. See pic. Cal
Let's see...Indian Head Cents, Indian Head\Buffalo Nickels, Mercury Dimes, Standing Liberty Quarters, Walking Liberty Half Dollars.
I am there with capped bust halves being my favorite. One gifted from grandfather gave me the bug. It’s the coin that really pushed my numismatic interest. @TypeCoin971793 is your 125 a O-112? I have been attributing these for fun lately.
I'm not @TypeCoin971793, but yes, it is a 112...nice one too. AU-55? To people who have read my posts over the years it should be fairly obvious what my favorite design is. My icon coin...
I am torn.... All time favorite design for absolute beauty's sake is the St. Gaudens double eagle. I am also quite smitten with the standing liberty quarter design. But like others have mentioned, the bust series halves are the most eye appealing to my aged eyes.
Oh gosh, I left out the gold...Saint-Gaudens double eagles and eagles, Indian Head half and quarter eagles. Never really warmed up to any dollar type coins for some reason. These designs to me are classics along with a few very select early commemorative half dollars.
Merc dimes. But it's harder to appreciate because it's so small. If it was a half it would put the capped bust to shame.
Ummmm, no. While of course you are welcome to your opinion. Truth in posting notice...This is not my coin. Yet
Regarding the three people that posted capped bust half dollars, I’ll be the contrarian and say the capped bust quarter is my favorite.
Started out with Morgan's and walkers. Then went to bust halves. Still love them but my fav now is seated.
