  1. 1944 Penny has something going on with last 4 in date.
Plus whole date seems possibly doubled. Just checking.
Very neat lookung. Pics hard to take because mirrored like

Last 4 just suffered a hit, I don't see any doubling...wait for other eyes.

    It's just damage.

Copper moves very easily, it is only damage to the coin.

  7. There's Extra added metal under 4.

Not really, it's metal that has been moved down FROM the 4.

So what are you saying? Better photos would be needed for the T. The 4 is just PMD.

  13. Maybe these are better. If not I'll check tomorrow. Thanks

Yes, the pics are much better. You can clearly see that the T was hit a some point in circulation resulting in the metal being moved. Probably whatever situation caused the damage to the T also damaged the 4 and left all of the other small digs and dents on the surface

wow, that coin has had hundreds of hits all over the obverse in all areas. Some pretty deep hits too. The Jacket looks like the Moons' surface with all the heavy hits it's taken.

Looking at the complete surface of a coin can give one insight on damage on areas that are raised, such as lettering/numbers. Think of a thin raised surface getting hit from the side, it normally (especially soft copper) can get pushed and flattened, or split, spread apart, knocked off, etc.

Then you add circulation wear and it can "soften" heavy hits to make them look like something else.

Let's cut to the chase. Your coin either has some PMD or some small die chips, bottom line, coin is worth about a nickel for being a wheatie.
