$3000 of potential value reduced to $800... maybe.

    These coins in mid to high AU sell for BIG money. I have 2 and both are problem coins. I swear that tooled one is a full AU58. Ah well. Maybe next time!

    Where is it tooled? those lines by the date?

    Yes. I believe there may have been some build up or gunk on the coin and someone carelessly took a sharp object to it and scraped it off, leaving the scars.

    Did you buy these are problem pieces, or did you pay full price for them and then have the slabs returned this way?

    The 50/00 is still cool, either way.

    I think I'm into these coins about $395 each now. Bought them raw and then submitted them each twice. Doh!
