Information on US 1$ prototypes

I have has this prototype over 15 years. I believe it was done during selection of the new US Dollar coins. Does anyone have information pertaining to these? I had saw online that Dan Carr had made these types of coins. I believe she is Bessie Coleman.

That's because they are a private company proposal and not something official.

 

That coin is based on the Bessie Coleman dollar design proposal that Dan Carr presented in-person to the Dollar Coin Design Advisory Committee in 1998.

Several versions were produced by Mr. Carr. Yours looks like the proof-like brass version.
