1916 Mercury Dime

    Received this dime as a gift from my Great Aunt Julia in the late 1950s. She still wore the Victorian style dresses...long sleeves...dress to the ankles...high collar...and hair in a bun.     AU55FB. Have to say that's one of the most well struck mercury dimes I've seen to date.

    It's very well struck and a first year coin too. Who knows, it could be one of the first ever struck in that series.
